Construction

This open-type high-speed vessel has been designed for :
- patrol and SAR duties
- sabotage and anti-sabotage operations
- transportation of personnel
- fire support and landing of troops on unequipped coast
- fight against piracy and terrorism
- medical evacuation and assistance to those in distress .

The boat can be easily transported onboard larger vessels or airplanes, and can be supplied with a trailer for transportation by road.

The PB 850-D is very strongly built to withstand hard work in serious conditions. It has a hull made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy, on which all the various units are mounted, and can also be supplied with foam collar guards on request .

The fully equipped control station is installed on the forward part of the open deck, and the crew can monitor all onboard systems.

Forward of the control station there is an open area that can be outfitted as per requirements. In the existing configuration of the PB 850-D we can install up to 10 seats. This allows comfortable and safe movement of the people onboard , including embarkation/disembarkation.

Standard power is 2 x gasoline outboards of 250 Hp, for a maximum speed of 40 knots. Range reaches 400 miles, which significantly increases the practical potential of the boat.

The boat can be equipped with an universal mount for 7.62 or 12.7 machine gun. Bulletproof windshield can be installed.

The boat can be supplied as a kit for local construction. This includes all alloy parts, cut and ready for assembly and welding.
